In Memoriam

Mr. Joe Nalls, Secretary of SMI's Board of Directors, passed away Wednesday, 18 July 2007 after a long struggle with cancer. Joe would have been 89 years old in August. He was a life-long member of the Military Order of the Stars and Bars and of the Egbert J. Jones Camp #357 Sons of Confederate Veterans in Huntsville, AL. Joe was a devout Christian and an old-style Southern-Gentleman who strongly believe in the need for SMI. He was buried on Sunday, 22 July in his family cemetery south of Huntsville among the numerous Confederate military grave stones of his relatives. He did not have children and was the last surviving male of the Nalls family. He is survived by his nieces, nephews, and cousins.
